Boone native and Watauga High Graduate!  Dr. Henson, a.k.a. Chad, attended Chapel Hill here in NC for one year before transferring to Sewanee to play baseball.  After finishing undergraduate school, he worked with an NGO in Malawi and Honduras for two years before entering University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Optometry.  After finishing his Optometry degree in 2010 Chad returned to Watauga County to begin his professional career at Blue Ridge Vision. Chad’s passion for family and the outdoors was his inspiration for coming back to the High Country. He and his family enjoy mountain biking, hiking, camping, disc golf, playing in the river, playing in the snow and just being in the woods!
